As a photographer who often shoots for slow fashion brands, it’s unsurprising that Sam has a wardrobe full of incredible garments, crafted carefully by UK-based artisans. Along with his partner Holly, Sam gravitates to items that are functional and hardwearing, with a story behind each stitch. They are also mindful of the longterm impact of their wardrobes, repairing holes, tears and loose buttons rather than flinging things out. Fittingly, Sam selects his 10-year-old Margaret Howell sample shirt as his favourite garment: “At this point it has just become a bit of a challenge to see how long I can keep it alive for! But, I adore knowing that there’s not a single other shirt in the world like it now it’s almost more mend than shirt!”
